File Upload!

INSTRUCTIONS

To upload a picture from your computer's hard drive, click on the browse button(s) below. A window will open allowing you to browse your hard drive. When you have located the pic(s) you want to upload click on the filename, then click "Open". (You will have to do this once for each pic you upload, and use a different "Browse" button each time.) Once you have selected your file(s) click the "Upload File(s)!" button and wait for your computer to complete the upload. You will see a message letting you know the upload was successful. The URL you will use for posting your picture will ALWAYS BE THE SAME, with the exception of the filename itself.

For example, if you post a picture called "coin.jpg" the URL would be : "[pic]coin.jpg[/pic]" If you then uploaded a pic called "button.jpg" the URL for posting that pic would be : "[pic]button.jpg[/pic]"

1. The filename is, as it always has been, case sensitive. This is true for the file extension as well. Some photo programs make the file extension capitalized by default, so you need to make sure that you check to see what is capital and what is lower case. If you get the red "X" in your post preview then there is a problem with the filename and the pic will not be displayed in your post. The preformatted code is correct, and has been tested extensively, so if you get the "X" the problem will be in the filename you are entering.

2. The pic tags, as seen in the above image, must be exact as well. You have to use the square brackets, not parenthesis. The square brackets are located beside the ENTER key on your keyboard. Also, the "/" character in the end tag is important...don't leave it out.

All images will be deleted from the server twice per month on the 15th and then again on the 30th with the exception of that week's posts.
